Intellectual property rights concerning electrochemical systems and technologies invented by Vitold Bakhir
All technologies concerning the production and further application in various technological processes of electrochemically activated substances have three levels of intellectual property protection. These levels stem from the hierarchy of ideological construction of any technological process using electrochemically activated water or solutions. In this hierarchy, the most essential object is a tool for electrochemical transformation of liquid, that is, reactor; the second in importance is the electrochemical technology proper which is used to generate a product (electrochemically activated water, or solution), in particular, hydraulic circuit and operational regimen of electrochemical system as a whole. Finally, the third in importance is application of the electrochemically activated product (water, solution) generating technology in various technological processes. For the purposes of technologies used in the production of electrochemically activated water and solutions as well as ion-selective diaphragm electrolysis, the Russian company Laboratory of Electrotechnology Ltd. ( LET Ltd., www.eca.ru) has developed and serially produces flow-through electrochemical module diaphragm-type reactors – FEM modules, which can be used in various technological electrochemical systems (devices, appliances, apparatuses) as independent electrochemical reactors, or units of hydraulically (consecutively or in parallel) connected FEM modules called in this case RPE reactors. Electrochemical reactor is the main component of a technological electrochemical system, which generally includes systems of power supply and control over electric parameters of reactor operation as well as hydraulic lines of liquid feeding and discharge, flow pressure and rate governors, separators, valves, vents, batchers, mixers and other hydraulic system elements. In optimum conditions, the hydraulic circuit of a technological electrochemical system produces electrochemically activated water and solutions of required predetermined quality for purposes of further application. The intellectual property rights to flow-through electrochemical module cells ( FEM modules ) of all types and flow-through electrochemical reactors ( RPE reactors ) of all types made up of FEM modules, which are protected by first level patents belong to V. M. Bakhir and Yu. G. Zadorozhny . The intellectual property rights to the most important technological electrochemical systems (STEL devices to produce ANK anolyte, EMERALD devices, AQUACHLOR devices and others) protected by second patentability level patents belong to V. M. Bakhir , Yu. G. Zadorozhny and S. A. Panicheva . Asset management rights for first - and second - level protection patents have been transferred by the patents owners, in compliance with a agreement on asset management, to the Vitold Bakhir Electrochemical Systems and Technologies Institute for commercial use on the territory of the CIS countries : www.vbinstitute.org |
