The main objective of Vitold Bakhir Institute
"Vitold Bakhir Institute of Electrochemical Systems and Technologies" is the first institution to work out and introduce into practice educational programs covering the theory and practice of production and application of electrochemically activated substances and other electrochemical technologies associated with the use of a new generation of electrochemical reactors – FEM elements. Theoretical and experimental studies, as well as the results of wide commercial application of original electrochemical systems and technologies created by V. M. Bakhir and his colleagues have proved that using a small amount of meta-stable substances produced on-site by electrochemical synthesis from fresh or low-salted water substitutes large amounts of expensive routinely used chemical agents, improves the quality of useful (target) products of the technological process, saves time, reduces wastes and decreases power consumption, that is, ensures development of environmentally friendly technologies in various fields of human activity. To obtain electrochemically synthesized meta-stable (electrochemically activated) substances, V. M. Bakhir and Yu. G. Zadorozhny have developed standardized universal compact-size flow-through electrochemical modular reactors – FEM elements - commercially manufactured by the Laboratory of Electrotechnology (ÎÎÎ LET, www.eca.ru ) FEM elements are intended for use in engineering electrochemical systems (devices, appliances, apparatuses, complexes) for various purposes. The main objective at the present time and for the next decades is the training of specialists in the field of developing various technological processes using electrochemically synthesized meta-stable substances, as well as in building specialized engineering electrochemical systems fitted with reactors made of FEM elements to implement the developed technological processes. |
