STEL

The name «STEL» Vitold Bakhir combined from two words – “STerility” and “ELectrochemistry” and introduced it into practice for devices developed by him for production of disinfecting and sterilizing solutions – anolytes.

STEL devices are used for production of highly effective electrochemically activated ecologically clean and pure functional solutions:

  • Anolytes (anolyte ANK, anolyte ANK SUPER, anolyte PEROX, anolyte A and many others) - disinfecting, sterilizing and detergent solutions, pharmaceutical substance (remedy);

  • Catholytes (Catholyte K, Catholyte Perox and many others) – detergent and extracting solutions.

STEL devices are developed and serially produced with productivity from 10 to 500 l/h of electrochemically activated solutions of all types (acid and neutral anolyte, alkaline and neutral catholyte). Level of its technical perfection is determined by ability of producing activated solutions with possibly lowest mineralization and possibly largest concentration of metastable active substances.

STEL devices are used for producing of electrochemically activated detergent, antimicrobial, remedy and technological solutions – anolyte and catholyte with high functional activity and ecological purity. Each STEL device contains flow-through electrochemical diaphragm reactor of MB elements (till 2009 – FEM), hydraulic system for initial solution supply into the reactor and electrochemical synthesis products outlet from the reactor and power supply. Besides, STEL devices can have a system of automatic control of work parameters, automatic system of periodic rinse by acid solution and another features.

STEL devices for Anolyte ANK production
Anolyte ANK – effective disinfecting and sterilizing solution, produced from initial sodium chloride solutions, with neutral pH and chlorine-oxigen and hydroperoxide oxidants as active substances.
Field of application: medicine, housing and communal services, industry, agriculture, veterinary, transport.
Objects for disinfection: surfaces, medical instruments and equipment, water, air, food raw materials, food products, plants.
STEL-PEROX devices for Anolyte PEROX production
Anolyte PEROX – effective disinfecting and sterilizing solution with highly pronounced detergent ability with neutral pH and percarbonic acids and hydroperoxide substances as active ones.
Field of application: R&D, medicine, housing and communal services, industry, agriculture, veterinary.
Objects for disinfection: medical instruments and equipment, surfaces, water, air, food raw materials, food products, plants.
STEL-UNIVERSAL devices
Solutions: various types of anolytes – effective disinfecting and sterilizing solutions with different pH depending on technological requirements, active substances of which are percarbonic, perphosphoric and peracetic acids and mixture of electrochemically activated metastable organic and inorganic substances at total mineralization of anolytes no more than 1 g/l.
Fields of application: R&D, public health service, housing and communal services, industry, agriculture, veterinary.
Objects for disinfection: any objects in technological cycles, surfaces, medical instruments and equipment, water, air, food raw materials, food products, plants.
STEL-AK devices
Solutions: catholytes and anolytes of tap drinking water (accordingly “live” and “dead” water) with alkaline and acid pH and mineralization no more than 1 g/l appropriate for mineralization of tap drinking water.
Field of application: public health service, veterinary, agriculture, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, etc.
Objects for disinfection: live macroorganisms, plants, food products and raw materials, water, air.

Each STEL device consists of obligatory and essential part of each electrochemical device – flow-through electrochemical diaphragm reactor from MB elements (till 2009 – FEM elements), as well as hydraulic system for supply of initial solution into reactor and getting of electrochemical synthesis products from reactor, power supply.

Note: STEL-10N-120-01 device belongs to the first generation of STEL devices as against the other STEL devices mentioned in the table, which are the devices of second generation except STEL-ANK-SUPER device. STEL-ANK-SUPER device is the device of last generation, has the best level of salt conversion (98 – 99 %%) and produces anolyte with best parameters.

Many years’ experience of STEL devices and application of electrochemically activated anolyte ANK as disinfecting and sterilizing solution in many hospitals in Russia and abroad showed:
